2017 Silverado touch screen

2017 Silverado my link touchscreen works very erratically. radio works fine but the apps page Starts moving around on its own and you can hear the beep like if you touched  the app. Sometimes the apps get  quotation marks next to the icons and freezes up . it does not matter if I connect my iPhone to it or not. Took it to the dealer and they said there are no codes . They want to replace the touchscreen but I’m out of warranty and they want $600 for it plus labor. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

It sounds like a broken screen, or a loose cable. it's not hard to pull the screen out, the radio is somewher is under the dash passenger side..
