I have a 2002 gmc diesel truck. I had my truck worked on for ac. The actuator was replaced 2 times before I gave up and took it to the mechanic. They had the same issue when they replaced it. They then unplugged  the battery over night and it worked. But then the starter went out. Disconnecting the battery to change the  starter messed everything up again. It will blow air just not cold air. Can it be reset without sending it to the mechanic again!?

Blend door actuator, I'm assuming?

Sounds like you need to keep disconnecting and reconnecting the battery until the stupid gets knocked out of the computer.

Sherry, I will be thinking along the same lines as Jsdirt that the part that was replaced was the blend door actuator. To start with a lot of the aftermarket parts are junk. And don't even work out of the box. The next thing is that the blend doors have a foam rubbers seal around them. As the trucks get older like yours that foam deteriorates and falls off. Now when you activate it to close the door it goes past the original stop point and jams the actuator in an uncontrollable position. Now the actuator can't control it. Hope this makes sense to you.

Good Luck
