I just acquired a 68 GMC C-15 2wd long bed fleetside.  It need a lot!  It has manual drum brakes now, I'd like to convert to front disc brakes, but at the same time I'd like to lower it about 3" and change it from 6 lugs to 5 lugs.  I here there's a few years of later model truck rear axles that are a direct fit to convert the rears to 5 lugs.  What years am I looking for?  Also, If I get 3" dropped spindles for the front, what brake parts will work to get my 5 lug pattern?  I know I can go and buy an expensive kit, but I'm hoping I can find enough salvage yard parts to do most of the conversion. I hear that some later model disc brakes will work just by changing the upper and lower ball joints. Any help is appreciated.image.thumb.png.b84d0a3a2f691ae5d9ecaf0b20aa4bbd.png
