Two Questions

: Two questions for the more technically inclined on the forum.

 

1. Can the "Oil Life Monitor" system be reprogrammed to use the same synthetic oil algorithm as the Corvette? I run Mobil 1 and would like to see when the "Oil Life Monitor" for synthetic oil would indicate an oil change is required. The GM Tech Line says the Corvette has its "Oil Life Monitor" program set up for synthetic oil since the Corvette is shipped with synthetic oil in them.

 

2. Another irritant I have with my new truck. On the 04 LT models (and maybe eariler models) the truck must be on to turn on the heated seats. Once the truck is turned off the solinoid/relay disengages and the seat heater turns off. That means you must turn them on again after restarting the truck or using a remote starter.

 

Can the seat heater switches be modified so once they are turned on they remain on until turned off? That is the way my wifes Audi works and it is very nice in the cold weather we have here in Alaska.
