My 2002 2500hd 4l80e is due for a new torque converter. Tranny temps are high and it seems like the converter is blowing by now. I’d like to get a better then stock converter. I do some towing and hulling with the truck so I’d like to keep a factory stall range. If anyone has any recommendations that would be helpful!

I would go with the last model year converter offered for your transmission, GM makes fine converters and your using stock stall, the 2500HD converters are stout, if your loosing lock up , the lock up o-ring will fail to seal if you run high fluid temps.
