New to the forums and recently bought a 2007 2500HD Work Truck. I was wondering if the Work Truck core harness is the same as other versions of the 2500 or is it limited in its ability to support other modules? Would be nice to have power doors/upgraded sound system. But a quick look at the kick panel harness plug on the truck is leading me to believe I might be out of luck. I searched the forum but didn't really find anything about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Is this a NNBS or a NBS?

Back in the NBS days the harness was the exact same as every other harness. Yours could have some built in features but may not include all of them. It might be a bit of a hit or miss situation with that one

I would say it is NBS due to the headlight and marker lights look like the older style '02-'06. Mfg. date on door is 6/06 but VIN states '07. I found an '02 2500HD some guy is parting out and was wondering if I could grab the doors and convert my door to fully electric instead of all manual. The seats and console from the '02 fit perfectly but the radio, while being the same size had different mount and harness plugs. when I looked at the door harness plugs on my truck, they are small while the harness plugs on the door with electric , they were big to support all the electric features. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the harness that runs from the kick panels to behind the dash plug into another distribution box or just wired to only support my RPO features only.

Thank you your info though...

There was another guy on here who had to swap out an entire harness to do a full escalade conversion but he said his original harness had some of plugs and stuff. Normally you can just add wires and that stuff to your truck.

The '02 was just for seats. I don't want to do a harness refit. Was just wondering if the Work Truck's core harness would be able to support extra connections, like for power doors/locks and windows.

Thanks,

It should yes. You would have to check to see if the connectors are in there.

The 02 seats won't hook up if you plan on doing power seats but it does not seem like you are doing that.

Thank you for the info. I'll have to start doing some digging.
