Hey everyone, I`m new on this forum and I needed some help. I have a 2018 5.3 silverado and I was looking to louden the exhaust a bit while also giving it a nice rumble, I put on a CAI and I just did a muffler swap with a flowmaster super 44. It gave it the deep rumble I wanted but, It wasnt much louder than stock. My question was what can I do to increase the the sound output wihile keeping the new muffler. I was looking into maybe doing a resonator delete but I didn`t know if that would make it louder. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Welcome to the site.

That will help, but you might get the dreaded "drone" when your engine goes into V4 mode.

Thanks, yeah I’ve been hearing that a lot, I was also looking into something like some headers to maybe open it up more from the beginning

You are very welcome.

Lots of exhuast threads on the site here, lots of opinions, and lots of different set ups. Just go up to the search bar, type in exhaust, and do some reading.

Good luck, and Merry Christmas!!!

Get a Range to deactivate V4 mode and delete the resonator.

I had my muffler swapped out to a single/dual out Borla ProXS.  and cut the flapper and resonator off.
