K2XX Rear Vents

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, i was bored so I drew up a design for what would’ve been the rear vents and cup holders on the K2XX truck center console lol I based the entire drawings off my truck, I based the vents faceplate itself from the 2019+ jump seat vents, I also threw in the usual cigarette outlet and even a household outlet which can be retrofitted to the back of the console, and I also drew up the rear DVD outlets, as I was looking online and that part is separate from the rear console faceplate on the K2 trucks………. Let me know what you guys think, I’m wondering if the extisting underwear ducts can be utilized and modified, or if new ducts would have to be routed all the way from the core lol

That looks pretty good! It would necessitate a redesign of the center console for the ducts.

My 05 Tahoe I had used vents in the ceiling and had a controller overhead for that zone of the AC and should have been implemented in the K2 trucks similarly. But, the cab volume is not that of an SUV, so if you run your fans at full speed and set it to blow from the floor vents and the forward vents, you enhance the cooling in the rear. But I've found that just blasting the front vents cools the whole truck pretty fast.

Remote start before you get in via the Onstar app and by the time you get in, the entire interior is damn near 60 degrees.
