2006 Chev. 1500; How to disable auto tilt mirrors when shifting from Park to Reverse?

Is there a way to disable the sideview mirror auto tilt feature on a 2006 1500 Silverado. Occurs when shifting from Park to Reverse. These are power mirrors, heated, manual fold-in.

Yes, you go into the "park assist" options. Its displayed on the dash, below the gauges.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. I was under the assumption that any adjustment or control features had to be accessed through the display touch screens on newer models.

It worked! Steering wheel Information button selection offered; Curb View (On or Off). Turned to off. Does what I need now. I feel quite idiotic after having spent most of a day testing wiring, connections and power combinations trying to modify, in order to acquire the disable feature, when it was in front of my face, literally, the entire time. Thanks so much again!

Owners manual has a wealth of information in it.  You might crack it open.  Free pdf download from gm's website.

 

And is it really that taxing to just, you know, walk out to the burb and see if that configuration option shows up for you?
