Normal is good.

 

Every 6.0 I've owned or been in run 35-40psi after cold start idle down, hot idle 25-30psi.  

 

GM minimum spec is 6psi for every 1000rpm, so as long as you are over 6psi at 1000rpm, its fine.

Oil pressure is like computer RAM.

 

Not enough is catastrophic, but having more than needed is not of any benefit, and an extreme excess can actually be detrimental.
