Neither one is ready yet so... I had to delay my purchase a little... kinda bummed over it now. However, reviews seem to favor Ford because of the ability to set the speed.. can go 10 below the speed limit or 10 above the speed limit.. while Chevy's just the maximum speed if there are no speed limit signs. It's still very vague.. Chevy's network of highways is twice as extensive though but that's in the rural areas. I'm in urban southern California and both are about the same.

Is the adaptive cruise any better than gms where blue isn't available?

I would not use adaptive for high-speed driving especially when I tend to change lanes frequently. Driving at a higher speed requires more focus and a lot of times I am about to move to the left lane and the car just slams the brakes, wrecking the rhythm on the road. If I am driving, I would not want adaptive since I stay on the right lane like glue and use the left strictly for passing. At a younger age, I drove a lot in Germany so I am accustomed to the autobahn.
