Protecting a multi pro tailgate while traveling with it down

Recommended Posts

I put a camper in the bed of my 2021 Sierra 2500 Diesel which and take advantage of the back steps on the multi pro tailgate, by leaving the tailgate down while I drive.  How can I protect the tailgate from rocks and dings?

Thanks.  Mud flaps on my wish list.  Not sure how PPF will protect the backup camera eyes.  But I think I found a solution - with a not too expensive tailgate cover I can use just when the gate is down.  It straps on and is padded enough to protect.  When I have the camper on the bed and towing the horse trailer - will just remove the tailgate, cause I most likely will be on mountain roads with lots of rocks.  I've not had a truck that could do it all before - love it.
