Ticking sound

I have a 90 gmc k3500 with 454 and I am getting this weird ticking sound that starts a minute or 2 after start up not sure what it is any suggestions or help is appreciated

Hard for us to know either without hearing what you hear.

 

Ticking sounds are usually from an exhaust leak or from the top end of the engine. Like a lifter, rocker arm or something like that. A mechanics stethoscope can help you track down sounds.
