I will a rear axle from a 79 3500 fit in my 91 r3500 chevy dually?

Doubt it, but you never know. We are talking two completely different body style trucks with different frames and everything.

Take some measurements and compare to yours. Like overall length, spring perch to spring perch, shock mount locations etc etc.

ditto, also check u-joint size and pinion angle
