Raul Luna Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I’m having a problem with my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The truck has been driving smooth and I haven’t had a problem with it, drove it last night perfectly. This morning when I opened the door the chime was weird sounding, I inserted the key and turned it, not all the way then I noticed that it was saying service stabiletrak, theft deterrent. It also showed battery low start vehicle, action required open and close driver window. I then tried to start the truck and it wouldn’t start, no crack at all. I loosened up the battery terminals cleaned it up, put them back tight tried again and still nothing. I charged the battery, still nothing. I’m confused. Never seen this happen. I don’t know if it could be the starter or anything else. If you know anything that could help me get this fixed I would really appreciate it, thanks
CamGTP Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I'd pull the battery and bring it somewhere to be tested. It could have shorted internally. Batteries and starters are somewhat of a common issue on these trucks. Also they tend to suffer from corrosion on the inside of the battery cables.
