I took the truck in today because i have a slight vibration you can feel in the steering wheel between 55-60mph, the dealer which is normaly really good claimed they couldnt feel anything. I let my salesman drive it and he felt it also as does my wife so i am not crazy. The truck is a 03 2500hd ext short bed with 11000 miles on it and my wife has a 03 1500 ext z71 and i have never felt it in her truck any ideas would help.

thanks

You could go to a tire shop and have them check the tires for uneven wear and check the alignment. I had a shake like this on my last truck and it was out of alignment. It also made some uneven wear in the tires. The vibration I had was from 50-70 mph though.

The intermediate steering shaft could be another thing that may cause a vibration.

I noticed the same thing on my '02 2500HD shortly after I went to the meatier Wild Country tires. I rotated them to see if it would move to another corner but it went away for a while. After 1000-1500 miles it showed again. I've been repeating the process since. I'll get a different brand next spring probably. I know you didn't say you changed your tires, but I felt I should share this with you anyway.

the dealer checked alignment and the tires were rotated about 250 miles ago, it just showed up about a week ago and there is no sign of wear on the stock tires

My personal experience with dealerships for all makes is they suck for allignments. I usually go to a good alignment shop that I trust to get my alignment done.
