3500 SRW vs DRW

Besides the obvious, are there other mechanical differences?

• Do the 17" vs 20" wheels create a different ratio? 
• Does the DRW have bigger brakes?
• Anything different with the axle?
• What else?!

I would guess the obvious- more payload- more tires- higher towing max capacity- more width and weight. If

If the brakes are not larger that could possibly be a point of minor worry.

1.  3500 srw and drw run the same rear axle ratio.  The smaller OD tires on drw help with giving it a higher overall gear ratio.

 

2.  I believe the front brakes are same but rear are larger on drw.

 

3.  Gear set I believe are the same but axle shafts are stronger on drw.

 

4.  Biggest difference is the rear spring pack.  The drw has alot more force in the underloads.
