USA Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 2019 Acadia Denali awd, problem couldn’t completely fill gas tank or sending unit gas gauge malfunction dealer says sending unit, needs tank replacement, 2019.95 dollars. Sending unit and tank one part? Guess it’s not filler neck problem or venting issues thanks for input. Chicago

Sending unit and tank one part? Guess it’s not filler neck problem or venting issues thanks for input. Chicago On AWD the tank is split. Two sending units, one is the primary sender/pump assembly, the other is the aux sender which just reads the level in the other side of the tank. Both sending units and their level sensors are available separate from the tank. If they are saying you need a tank, the tank must have some sort of internal damage or a part of the tank is malfunctioning and that is why they are saying it needs a tank. Has the vehicle been in any accidents? Edited April 27, 2022 by newdude
