Hey all. Had my tranny replaced at 164xxx kms with a one year warranty on a rebuild. I think initially they said the transfer case exploded inside or something. Does this make sense? Also, I think the same issue is happening again? Are these these thing problematic? Is there a better tranny to go with? And doe the tranny need to be replaced if the transfer case is bad? I appreciate any feedback. I’m new to this

The transfer case can be faulty and leave the transmission unharmed. They have separate oiling systems and a gasket between them. But if a transfer case fails so bad it could ruin the output shaft of the transmission and then the transmission would need a rebuild. A bad part in the transfer case could also wipe out a bearing that the output shaft uses if something is causing it to wear funny. But I've rarely ever seen that happen.

You didn't say what type of problem you are having yet though.
