Auto up window stopped working

i did some searching on the forum and found a couple of posts where people were trying to make all four windows auto up but nothing on my issue. my auto up stopped working, normally i would say that was a switch issue, but it still rolls the window up if i hold it. is it still a switch issue? i would say either it works or it doesnt, not partially works.

Try re-learning the window.  Start with the window in the up position.  Press and hold the driver's switch all the way down and hold it.  Stay held on it for about 10-12 seconds.  Right after that, raise the window and hold the switch the whole time all the way up, and then hold it for 10-12 seconds. 

 

This will re-learn the home positions on the window.  If it still won't auto up, you've got either a bad window switch, regulator or a wiring issue and would need further diagnosis.

thanks, i will give that a try

newdude i did this, this morning and it worked. shut off the truck and came out at lunch and it was back to not working, went through the steps again and now it wont relearn anymore.
