Zaino again

I put Zaino on the truck over the Christmas holiday and I'm not sure I put it on right or something. I washed with dawn and then used the ZFX and two coats of Z2 but the truck looked as shiny before the Zaino's as it did afterwards. I mean it shined up some but I wasn't blown away like I thought. Maybe the ripple looking dark green (or any dark color for that matter) factory paint just doesn't give the stuff its full potential.

 

I was just a little let down; I went and bought welders goggles to protect my eyes from the shine and I never got to use them.

Did you clay the truck? Even new cars benifit greatly from claying. On a color like green I would have used Z-5 instead of Z-2, the Z-5 will give a deeper shine on dark colors, although shine is very subjective. Di you have any "wax" on the truck before you applied Zaino?

No, I haven't clayed the truck yet. The dealership might have waxed the truck before, but I used lots of dawn to eliminate it.

 

I'll have to give z5 a try next time to see if it helps
