Keyless Remote Unlock/Lights

Can I make the DRL lights and reverse lights on my 2001 Silverado come on when I unlock the doors like the 2003-2004 Silverados do?

 

I read that if you have the Driver Information Center, that you can program that in.

 

Can I do this?

I think I have to have the steering wheel controls. I thought we just had to have the Message Center which is on 99-up models.

 

I think the DIC started in 2003.

 

I think 1999-2002 models are out of luck.
