What color code is the bright Red on a 2001 Tahoe?

What was the Official color name?? Also I want to add the painted door handles to it.. I am considering the Denali/escalade handles with chrome.. but.. Was the Denali/Escalade ever offered in this Bright Red???

The color you are referring to is Victory Red

 

Code = WA9260

 

Denali = yes

 

Escalade = no

 

The Caddy had a different red called Redfire...

I had a 1998 Suburban and a 2002 Avalanche in Victory Red. The paint was easy to keep looking great and they really caught folks' attention. I own a 2003 Pewter Z-71 right now, but I'll probably be back in Victory Red when I buy my next rig.

Yep, I think it's gorgeous too... it was between Red and Black. I just can't get past the Beige/Pewter color.. There are a million in that color.. Red Stands out ...

 

 

Were there any Escalades/Denali made in that color? I'd like to swap the door handles..

Well mine was called Fire Red on the sticker and it's a 2001 GMC .I guess Chevy and GMC have different names for the same colors?

It does occur sometimes that the same paint has a

different name.

 

A body shop should paint the Escalade handles off the truck

for next to nothing, especially if they have some spare

paint around.

What I posted were facts, the confusion can be

justified, however.

Look at the code ID in your glovebox, you should

have a 4 digit code which is either 8774 or 9260

on the bottom line. If it is 9260, that is typically called

Victory Red. If it is 8774, that is usually called

Bright Red, but is also known as Flame Red.

 

Fire Red is for GMC only I believe,

because of the "Fire Truck" asscn.

 

but I'm not sure which code it is.

as I stated, they do have different names for

the same code sometimes.

 

But Red Fire is a metallic.

 

What does SFB mean anyway.
