Vortec swap

Has anyone swapped out a vtc 350 for a 7.4 vtc. I have a c/k 2500 crew and am needing more power. any other ideas would be great.

I am getting ready to swap out a 350 in my 1992 half-ton for a 496tall deck. You shouldn't have as many problems as me.

The power steering pulleys are one problem, you need to find big block ones for a serpentine belt. I am going to make some brackets to mount my small block set up on the big block.

I don't know what kind of fuel set up your going to use. I am going with a holley commander 950 tbi. I had to change fuel pumps to a walboro 255 lph in tank one.

Headers are something else to consider, I heard edelbrock ones fit well.

The engine mounts are the same. Also will your current transmission handle the upgrade of power.

I solved the power problem found the same pickup with a bigblock

and the same amount of miles. Anybody interested in a 2000 crew sb with a

350.
