Hi everyone, relatively new 2022 Sierra 1500 Elevation owner. I have noticed that when I turn the truck off and the radio is on FM and then come back about 30 minutes later my radio is on SiriusXM. I do not pay for SiriusXM because I never really used the trial so it's just the advertisement looping. Another thing to note is my auto start/stop stopped working around 1,500 miles. The dealer is currently contacting GM for the start/stop issue because they can't figure it out.

Is this switching from FM to SiriusXM by design or a setting? Can I disable it or is there a larger electrical problem?

Thanks!

The radio may still be in "demo" mode. There's numerous threads on here about issues with the sound settings resetting after shutting the truck off. I had the same issue. In the radio menu there is a factory reset or reset to defaults (can't remember which wording it is) that should fix this issue.

Any of these apply?

Auto Stops may not occur and/or Auto Starts may occur because:

. The climate control settings require the engine to be running to cool or heat the vehicle interior.
. The vehicle battery charge is low.
. The vehicle battery has recently been disconnected.
. Minimum vehicle speed has not been reached since the last Auto Stop.
. The accelerator pedal is pressed.
. The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature.
. The outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
. The vehicle is in any gear other than D (Drive).
. Tow/Haul Mode or other driver modes have been selected.
. The vehicle is on a steep hill or grade.
. The driver door has been opened or the driver seat belt has been unbuckled.
. The hood has been opened.

. The Auto Stop has reached the maximum allowed time.

If equipped, the automatic engine Stop/Start feature can be disabled and enabled by pressing the switch

When LED is illuminated, the system is enabled.
