Took in 2022 LTZ Z71 4WD Crew Cab with 13k miles for rear clunk noise.  Dealer found Rancho shock is defective.  Removed shocks and drove truck and noise was gone.  Checked shocks, one was 1.5 inches shorter than the other and wouldn't fully extend.  Old shocks back on truck, NEW shocks on order should be 7-10 days.  Will post again after new shocks are on truck.

Update:  Shocks replaced and ride is better.  Noise is still present, will be contacting dealer about Technical Service Bulletin 21-200.  Last week Service Manager said they had to replace the bad shocks first, before they could do anything with leaf springs.

Update: Noise still present, still waiting for appointment at dealer.  I suspect something is loose, may not be leaf springs, but need to convince service advisor to have a technician spend some time to try and diagnose.  Two co-workers have the same truck and no noise.

on mine they made a mess of the springs, so they replaced springs and shackles, however a couple of other people i know have had just the shackles replaced and it worked!

I just wash them real good and shoot some silicone spray in between the leafs. Stays quiet for a long time.

I've done this on the 2014. 2016, 2018 and now on the 2022.

Update: 22 Silverado Crew Cab LTZ 4WD - truck serviced for continued clunk noise from rear, dealer says rear axles have too much play, specification is .026 inches, one is .028 inches and the other is .029 inches.  Waiting on replacement axles.  I also noticed rear window leak after car wash, dealer will replace sliding rear window under warranty.  Also have Engine Open warning, dealer will replace hood latch mechanism.  Waiting on parts, may be awhile since UAW and GM have a tentative agreement.

Update 11-27-2023 - Dealer replaced rear axles, clunk noise still present.  Rear window replaced, no leaks.  Hood Latch replaced, no alarms.  Truck is still under warranty but I am sick of the dealer service department not being able to fix the clunk.  I purchased Spring Things like so many other people on this and other forums and the clunk noise is gone.   I don't know how long the Spring Things will last but it is so nice to have a quite ride and not have to anticipate the clunk noise everytime i pull in or back out of my driveway.
