Does your bug deflector stop or help with chips on windshield

I have a 2020 Silverado raised 2 inches with the oem kit.  It seems that I am experiencing more chip damage to the windshield than on any of my past trucks.  I replaced the windshield this week after one of the chips that was previously repaired ended up in a long crack. I am considering a bug/hood deflector in the hope it will stop this damage.  For those of you that have them, do you feel it helps with this problem?  I would be gettng one from the Chevy Accessories page.  The truck is ceramic coated.  Thanks.

most of them are just what they are called hood protector, they dont do much to deflect anything that is going to chip a windshield
