Well it's that time again, Uncle Sam says it's time to move again.  Were leaving  :P  Alaska and moving to Alexandria, Virginia.  Were going to be driving.  I already know were stopping at Mt Rushmore, SD and at Cabelas in Sidney, Nebraska.  Is there anything going on between the dates of 20 Sept to 20 October; car shows, gun shows, or just somthing the family might find interesting during this time frame?  Were driving threw Canada, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinos, Indiana, Ohio, W. Virginia.

I know there are members from all over that might have some good input.

Thanks.

Bridge Day is on 19 Oct, in Fayetteville, WV.  Bridge Day commemorates the October 1977 completion of the New River Gorge Bridge, the worlds longest single arch bridge.  It's 876 feet from the deck to the water below, and 3030 feet long.  During the festival, there are people BASE jumping off the bridge.

It's only 20 miles or so from where I'm originally from, and where my mom, dad, and brother still live.

Dayum! that's a long way down.

I have been through Montana and couldn't get over how beautiful the landscape was/is.  Kids might not get a kick out of it, but at 33, my old arse rode/drove in amazement.  You may be used to this grandeur in Alaska though.  SC has nothing like this to offer.

(We drove from Denver to Lake Wathaman and Davin lake in Canada for a 10 day fishing trip)

You'll Love Old Town. The Fish House on King St.

is worthy of it's micro brew and Chowda! You can park

behind the bookstore across the street.

Have a great one!

Tom is right on Bridge Day.    They shut down one side of the bridge and have booths set up on it with crafts, food, etc.

PM me the route you're taking through WV and I'll check for some stuff to do along the way.
