When I first got my new Canyon, there was a little widget on the dash display that showed the speed limit.

Now it just shows “—“

Anybody know how to re-enable it?

Onstar not needed!  For anyone wondering, yes you do need some sort of internet connection. My solution was to have my cell phone "hot spot" enabled. This is usually a few dollars monthly from your cell carrier.(much cheaper than Onstar) Then go into connections on your infotainment system and connect to your cell phone and just like that your google maps and the speed limit widget will be working again. The only catch is you can't have wireless android or car play active at the same time as google maps!  Pick the one you like better, either way the speed limit should work.  Hope this helps!

Or use Waze👍🏻  Waze shows the speed of your vehicle, and when you exceed the speed limit, it shows both your speed and the speed limit.  That was just one of the reasons I switched🤗

I had the same problem on my 26 Canyon. I went into the setting page and toggled the speed limit indicator into the on position. There was no need for Waze or Google Maps. The speed limit no shows in the HUD as well as on the dash. Hope this helps.
