My 15 Sierra intellilink screen has been acting up. It started when I was connected to Bluetooth, the screen would intermittently go black and then I switched to radio and it was fine. Yesterday the whole screen went black and nothing works, I got an error message saying update failed, insert media, overtemperature. I disconnected the battery, checked fuses, checked HMI connections and nothing helped. I can hear a fan running (I think it has to do with the HMI), when the truck is off and key removed. I pulled the fuse for the radio and the fan stops. I cleaned the ground connection on the passenger side behind the wheel and now I get static sound from the radio, still no screen function. Checked the ground by the A pillar and seems to be fine. I think this is a faulty HMI, does anyone have any insight on this? I cant find anything on the internet about an overheating intellilink system.
