Air Biscuit Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Five star shine Anyone ever try it? Looks interesting but - go figure - quite expensive. I like the idea of not having to wax so often so thought I would ask. Anyone?
margarida Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I have it., applied it last September and it's stilll beads water but it has only been on 4 months. Time will tell if it will last the 5 years they say it will. The application wasn't hard. You have to wash and dry the vehicle, then apply a bonding solution that you mix with water and just wipe on. Wash and dry again then apply the wax. Took about 6 hours and most of that time was drying the truck in between washes as my truck is black and I had to get rid of the spots.
hcvone Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 We tested it on 3 cars, it did not last as long as Zaino or Klasse in our tests for durablity.
Air Biscuit Posted February 12, 2004 Author Posted February 12, 2004 Thanks. How did you test it? And how long did it last?
hcvone Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 3 different cars were washed with Dawn, then they were cleaned with a paint cleaner (mild abrasive) and rewashed with Dawn, the same basic way we would clean paint before applying wax/sealant, we then applied the product per enclosed directions. We would then measure water beading/run off on a week by week basis. The 3 cars vaired from 3 weeks to 7 weeks until there was no beading action.
