BLKESC Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 It was a '66-'68 Impala I noticed at a light that I saw him spinning his tires earlier down the street. I figured it could be competitive since it was a four door. I pulled up to him in the middle lane since he was in the left and revved my engine a little. He revved his a lot. I powerbroke the rear wheels loose and just let them spin a little. He replied with the full tilt burnout with so much smoke that I could smell it inside the cab of my truck. Then I thought to myself "This guy doesn't know what he's about to get into" . So after I spun the tires I put on the auto 4wd and loaded the suspension lightly. When that light turned green, I floored it and before I knew it, I was up to the speed limit (45mph) and he was about 4 car lengths behind! Ahh, the beauty of all wheel drive.
99silveradoz71 Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Ah yes, I've used the auto 4wd for a few damp stoplight encounters when these people think they're going to pass on the right lane that ends. It's always a beautiful thing when you think of that jaw dropping as they see something so heavy move out so well
greentahoe Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Quick SUV's are just b@d@ss!! I love the look on peoples faces. I'll be surprising a new SS and a guy with a Hemi this weekend when I get the rest of my pre S/C stuff put on. ASM headers, 2800 stall, and EL fans
