As most of you know the absence of a dipstick on the 10 spd in the HD trucks makes servicing unnecessarily more time consuming. Rather than pumping the fluid into the plug in the side of the case I bought a M18-1.5 fitting with a 1/2" hose barb and a length of 1/2" hose (cut to length as you see fit) Simply pull the stock plug in the side of the case, slide the hose on and fish it up to the underhood area where you want it and secure it temporarily. Slip a funnel into the hose and add whatever amount of fluid you determined came out during the service. Assuming it was full before the service and you have no leaks all you have to do is measure what came out when you dropped the pan (plus whatever is all over your arm, shirt and floor)

I had tried to add an AN line (picture on the left) to the side of the case but due to clearance issues and the Cat being very near the plug I never could get it configured how I wanted it and so I abandoned it and came up with this temporary setup. The fitting I got from Amazon and the hose came from Menards (any big box home center will have it)

Thanks for the great idea, Scott! I'll have to try this out when it comes time to service mine.
