Upgrade to tow mirrors

I recently purchased a 2024 sierra 2500 hd pro and it came with the standard mirrors and I want to upgrade to tow mirrors. I have a chance to buy a new set of GM tow mirrors and I’m wondering if they will work plug and play. Any help will be appreciated

They will bolt in no problem. Depending on what options the mirrors have, some things like power extend or spot lights, won't plug in.

Would the wiring already be there for the spot lights and it just be a matter of installing the switches in the cab?

As long as they are from a Chevy or GMC 2500 or 3500 they will work.  If they are the accessory ones in the accessory catalog, those are 1500 ONLY and will not fit an HD.

 

As far as lighting goes, GM requires the door harnesses to be swapped, but then because GM doesn't have an upgrade path on HD as tow mirrors are standard, a dealer likely cannot flash the truck to make the lights work.  

 

So...you might have to check with Boost Auto Parts and see if they have a harness upgrade to get lights working.
