I bought an SLE last year after driving both and a couple different 1500's. The difference in options and comfort between the pro and SLE is significant. If they had an Elevation trim equivalent for the 2500 I probably would have gotten that.
I think a 2500 gasser SLE or LT trim is the best truck you can get for the price right now.
The power seats allow you to adjust the angle of the seat as well as up/down/forward/back/recline and lumbar. The heated seats and steering wheel are nice in the winter here, as is remote start. Carpet with the all weather floor mats are way nicer than vinyl floors and easier to clean. The digital dash has grown on me a bit, GM doesn't exactly have a great track record with the prolonged function of analog gauges, the dash cluster was the weakest point on the 99-06.5 trucks which were probably the best trucks they ever made. I like the bigger infotainment screen. I will say that I like GM's wider screen vs other brands that have taller screens.

He proves his stupidity even further here - 2026 Chevy Silverado Owner Scans VIN and Finds A ‘Holy Grail’ Discovery; He Says, “GM Officially Deleted DFM Because They Knew The Lifter Issues Were Killing The Brand”
The VIN in that article 1GCUKGED7TZ191335. The 8th digit is literally a "D". 1GCUKGED7TZ191335

D is for the L84 5.3 with DFM. The build sheet of his "smoking gun" VIN shows L84 5.3 with DFM. What a r'tard that person is. He even sites an AI SLOP video on YouTube as a source.

2026 Silverado VIN Hack: Look for 8th Digit ‘E’ to Confirm the DFM-Free 5.3L V8 That Ends Lifter Failure
Can you tell me if a new gasser GMC 6.2L Denali or a 2026 5.3L Denali is safe to purchase? I have read a lot about engine failures and just want to be safe. What would you recommend? Plan on purchasing a new truck in the near future.
Thanks for your assistance,
John
