IMG_9181.thumb.jpeg.1112c872fc5c023466d9ef4a309b696f.jpegHi all, me again, asking about my (new to me) 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 W/T trim. Recently bought a keyfob for the vehicle and tried to pair it, all to find out that the truck does not have the RPO code needed for it? The security bit kind of irks me, let alone having to manually key the door every time to get in. Would this also enable power locks?

Knowing what I do about BCM's and the way signaling is done, is there a module that I can plug into for this? I'd be willing to strip all the trim just to get to it, if that's what it took. I'll attach my RPO sticker found in the glove box as well. Any part numbers or similar would be AMAZING.

Thank you. EDIT: I'm NOT even looking for remote start and all that, I can live without that. I JUST want a way to pair a keyfob to unlock the door, NOT to start it. No prompt in the instrument cluster, and the traditional method does not work either.

Are we talking a GMT-900 or 800 series? 2007 is one or the other. Looks like a 900 from the first few letters of the VIN - a 2wd, with the 4.8.

So a 900 series should have the keyfob programming right in the instrument cluster. If I remember right, 2nd button from the top, then scroll through the menu options until you get to "Learn Key" or something similar to that, and follow the prompts. If you do a quick Google search it'll outline the whole procedure.

Now if you don't have power locks, this isn't going to work ... but I'm fairly certain even strip model 900 series trucks had power windows and locks. I've never seen one without them ... but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
