2003 Denali exhaust

We have a 2003 YukonXL Denali. My wife noticed that the exhaust would pop continuouly after it got warmed up even while running. Sounded just like the metal expanding. It started doing this quite a while after we bought it. So we took it in and they replaced the exhaust. Problem solved? Yeah for about 4 or 5 months, now the popings back again.

Anyone else have this problem? If its only the exhaust expanding and contracting I wouldnt be too worried but I've never had this problem with my Silverado(2001) or and other rig.

I'm wondering what else could be causing this. It doesnt seem to be getting to hot, and it sounds normal, no loss of power.

Its a pain taking it in to the dealership but if it doesnt quit, we might have too.

Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks!

My C3 used to do that a little I guess. When I replaced the muffler and tailpipe it went away.

My truck makes one heck of a boing/bang about 5 minutes after I shut it off....

I have a 2003 Denali with the same noise. It has been doing it since new and continues 7,000 miles later. It's worse after you turn it off, but I also hear it in the truck when driving in slow traffic, at traffic lights, etc. Discussed it with the dealer and they said they might have to replace the exhaust. They knew right away what I was referring to, so it must be a known issue. I'm asking for a new exhaust system.
