Hi All,

I recently started to have an issue with my 2020 Yukon XL lift gate.  It will open when I press the fob or panel button.  However when I go to close it, the gate gets stuck after about an inch of movement and won't progress any farther to the closed position.  I can manually get the gate to lower and it will lock just fine.  I didn't have any issues opening the gate for the first week.  Now I have a similar problem in the reverse- it will open a few inches and get "stuck."  If I assist it with manual force, it will fully open.  However the same is not true for closing it.  I can't get it past the "stuck" point on the down movement to get it to keep going.  I can't tell if the assist needs to be serviced or if there is a sensor somewhere that got knocked out of position while I was cleaning the car.  I can hear the actuator running to try to move the lift gate, but it just doesn't go anywhere.

Any ideas?
