Trailer Camera System for 2024 Silverado - camera imaging problem

I purchased a 2024 Silverado 2500 with the Trailer Camera System for me to install. I installed the camera on the trailer following the instructions, but the problem I'm having is with the camera (part # 85118298) is that it will only display the mirror image (right becomes left, left becomes right, and all lettering is reversed). This should be a simple software fix through the Infotainment System, but Chevy does not provide this directly. Anyone else having this problem and perhaps have a workaround?

Isn't that how it's supposed to work? Is the right hand side of the road on the right side of the screen? In other words, the camera takes the image it is seeing to the left, if you are looking backwards, and puts it on the right side of the screen.
