Mystery wiring/plug

I'm in the process of installing a aftermarket brake controller on my 2014 silverado 1500. I'm going to mount the control knob somewhere on the light switch panel. While watching a video on how to remove the light switch trim I noticed 3 different wiring connections. One for the light switch, another for the 4wd and one that snapped into the back of the small cubby at the top of the panel. Anyone have an idea as to what the 3rd plug would be for??? There's nothing electrical in the cubby so why the plug? I haven't pulled my trim off to see if I also have the mysterious plug just curious as to what it could / would go to.

At the top behind the cubby?  Green connector, like 8-12 cavities?  That would be if you had the factory brake controller.  It goes nowhere/does nothing as you don't have the rest of the wiring and equipment for the factory controller.
