I know some trucks will refuse to start without transmission and require a neutral switch bypass, but the neutral switch is built into the 4L60e, so just curious if the ECU will start the engine without the transmission installed. Just replaced rear and front seals and cover gaskets and want to test for oil leaks before putting trans back on. Thanks!

1 way to find out, try to start it but I doubt it cuz of the neutral switch which is on the side of the trans. Remove it from the trans and  plug it in or just jump the starter
