What is the best window tint that will last the longest? Something with a lifetime warranty would be nice. The local place here has Lumar and they said it was the best. What do yall think??

I am going to get 5% or lower on all windows.

Some local places here use SolarGuard, the place I went to uses a tint from MSC specialty films, which I like a lot! SolarGuard is supposed to be good though! Legal on the sides here is 35% so thats what I got on the sides, and I got 5% on the back window!

I jad 35% on the sides of my old truck and 5% on the back.  They siad I could spray paint the back if I wanted, as long as the sides were 35%.

I got my wifes car tinted last week, and I had to go 35% all the way around.  The legal limit for Passenger Cars is 35% all the way around.     I think that's kind of stupid.

I have Lumar on my sides. It's O.K. I guess. Sometimes when you look at it just right it has kind of a grey look. Guy who installed it blames it on GM windows of course.

Hogger999, it is grey when you look at it, that is not cool. The local guy that does illegal tint just got busted so I have to find someone else now!   Thanks for the advice guys!

I talked to a "tint expert" once, and he said Solargard is the best followed by Llumar.  MSC and Solargard are probably the same thing, Solargard used to be a subdivision of MSC.

Everything else will turn purple after a few years.
