HD bumper cap on non-HD ??

Does anyone know if it's possible to put the thicker black bumper cap part off an HD on a non-HD ?? The piece between the grille and bumper....

Since the bottom grille on the HD Silverado is more like the GMC and there is a depression in the bumper cap, I'd guess it wouldn't look too good...

If I remember correctly the bumper cap won't fit without the rest of the parts. I thought about just bolting the HD hood on my Suburban but wanted the larger grill too so I needed that along with the HD bumper and cap. The body shop had to modify the end of the frame a little to line it up correctly.
