Hi everyone,

I started hearing a ticking noise coming from my 2016 SLT GMC Sierra, and I wanted to reach out for advice. I’ve attached a video I recorded of the sound to help identify it. Upon inspecting it, I found the Radiator fluid was extremely low and fluid was leaking from one of side hoses! Could it be a Lifter failure? Water pump failure? Exhaust leak? I’d appreciate any guidance on what this sound might be.

No CHECK ENGINE light yet!

Note: The third clip when I am accelerating, I could hear two forms of ticks, the usual lifters sound, and this new one!

Sounds more like a 'chirp' to me. How many miles?

Take a stethoscope & lessen to each rotating part; idler pulley, water pump, vacuum pump, alternator & see if any sound loud.
