2003 ford ranger updates!

The offroad packages are nice but until they cough up a real engine that gets around 230hp/250ft-lb torque it's just another compact truck to me.  It's too bad really-Rangers, in my opinion, are well-built and easily the best small pickup for towing and hauling.  Why Ford won't make a small V8 motor available to match the rest of the truck's abilities is beyond me.

I owned a Ranger 5-speed 4x4 for a short time with that gutless 3.0L V6.  No power at all but the mileage was good, right??  Wrong.  It was lucky to get 18mpg, and some us are getting that with 285hp V8s!!
