No ac, out of freon, looks like condenser is leaking from the tack weld like most, looks like an easy enough DIY, anything to look out for while doing it? Also will most aftermarket parts be reinforced in this area or any specific brands to buy (in Canada).

Love my GMC but I'm quickly working my way through the list of common failures...

They all do. 2 hour job plus recharge. A good tech can do it in less than 30 minutes with a few shortcuts. The record was 12 minutes start to finish at one Youtube GM dealer but they used a helper when it was time for the tilt back extraction.

On my 2017 4.3 the condenser was leaking.  Had to get a new one.

Few hundred bucks and all is well.  Easy to change out the condenser but have to bring it in to recharge.

The guy I use is fairly cheap so he did the whole thing.  I can't be bothered as I am at a place in my life where I can afford to bring it in.  lol
