Refreshed 2022 Sierra Denali, 6.2. 30000 miles. Service Steering Wheel Lock message this morning. Truck would not crank. It would start up using the remote, but would shut down soon after hitting the start button. I disconnected the negative terminal and reconnected. The message cleared and it seems normal again. Is this a known problem?

Thanks for any insight.

Thanks. I will give search another try. I went in quite a few pages and didn’t see anything. Must have missed it.

  ouch. that is SUCH a ripoff, as the blank key w chip retails for under $20... It would be somewhat reasonable if you don't have any key for the truck, so they need to program the new key as the master key for the truck, but somehow I think they would charge extra for this...

  Our local Ace Hardware made a chip key for my 2015 Silverado for$100.00; that's a lot less than the dealer. I suggest you give them a call and have your VIN,title, and/or registration with you.
