Just got my Westers ECU, have a question

This question can probably be answered by Tom at T Byrne, but, I got my Westers today and it came with the return paperwork, but i see no sheet telling me it is for my truck. No VIN number on anything or what programming was done. Only thing I see is this number on the box MADLR001-31 How do I know that this is indeed what I ordered. I'm sure the truck wouldn't start if it's for another truck, but how do I really know? I plan to install it tomorrow. Did others in the Group Purchase get a sheet with their specs on it?

Blind faith....

seriously, I didn't get mine thru the group buy, but I don't remember getting a sheet that listed what was done/changed. Plug it up and have fun.

I also got no paper work, but the proof is in the pudding!

I bought mine directly from Wester's Garage. The invoice I received did not have the alterations on it, but it did have the VIN. I emaild Lyndon to find out some of the changes he put in. Some changes he would not tell me. Those changes are his "bag of tricks". :D

If the VIN does not match, the truck will not start. You will need to get with T Byrne to find out what changes he ordered for you. Then you will have to put it in and see if got what you asked for. I had to get a second PCM from Wester's because the first one didn't seem to add any performance difference. Lyndon added more timing to the second. Every truck is different.

Good Luck

Phil
