Hello,

I ordered a new 2026 LTZ back in October 2025. The truck arrived at the dealership in December. It was immediately sent to Harbor utility bed company where the factory bed was replaced. From here is when all hell breaks loose...the truck was returned back to the dealership with no working taillights. The dealer told me they will get it fixed. They have sent it to many different shops after their own services department couldn't figure out how to get the problem fixed...they said it needs a reflash then they said they need to change resistors on wiring harness...apparently it is completely different than a 2025. Long story short, they have had the truck for over two months and everyday I receive a message that they are still trying to get a solution and working with GM to fix the problem. Has anyone one else experience this and found a solution to this issue with 2026 LTZ trucks and utility bed conversions? Thank you!

No real solution and sorry to hear about this debacle!

I expect that the tail lights that came out of the truck were LED and that is why they are having a problem. If I was changing out the lights to fit a new rear deck, I would go aftermarket and maybe utilize one of the 7 pin connections if I ran into trouble with the tail light connectors and wiring.

I have a hitch light plugged into the 7 pin harness and it works for back up, running lights and brake. Even if you taped into the turn wires in the connector, you could power the turn signals as well.

It shouldn't be too hard to make it work.

maybe see if gmupfitter.com has info released for your vehicle?  course, the dealer and utility bed company should both be aware of this site, for this kind of info...
