Diesel: Wait To Start light?

I'm wondering if there's a wait to start light for my duramax. I couldn't find anything about the diesel in the owner's manual. If there is a wait to start light, what does it look like?

Top left of your guage cluster...looks like a little spring. Unless you're in very cold climate the light will only stay on for a few seconds. It's orange.

It's not in the regular owners manual - it's in the diesel supplement manual that should have been included w/ your truck.

The diesel supplement manual just came in the mail this afternoon. (After I had made this post.) I have only seen the light go on once and it was like for a split second. I must be used to the Ford diesels, the wait to start light in my father's 2000 F-350 Powerstroke is on for atleast 10 seconds every time. Another one of the many reasons  rules.

You should have gotten a special DuraMax owners manual. If you don't have it, see your dealer 'cuz there's lots of additional info in there. Also get the Allison transmission video if you didn't get one.

The "wait to start" light is in the upper part of the instrument cluster, looks like a heating coil.
